Pet portraits
Celebrate your dogs, cats, and companion animals. Framed A4 pastel pieces start at £250, completed in around two weeks from approved reference photos subject to wait list.
Human portraits
Sensitive, lifelike studies of individuals, children, or family members. Rendered in delicate soft pastel or rich, classic oils on canvas.
Farm animals
Equine, livestock, and country subjects captured with authenticity. Available in bespoke sizes and individually quoted for custom oil canvases.
The commissioning process
From our initial friendly chat to the final framed piece, you are involved every step of the way to ensure your portrait is truly treasured.
Step 1: Consultation and reference
The process starts with a friendly chat via email or telephone to discuss your wishes. We will review reference photos together; clear, high-quality images taken at eye level in natural daylight work best. Once the photo is approved, a £50 non-refundable deposit secures your slot in my commission book.
Step 2: Creation and final approval
Soft pastel portraits typically take two weeks to complete, while oils take longer to accommodate drying time. Once the artwork is finished, I will send a photograph for your approval or minor adjustments before framing pastels or completing oil canvases. Final payment is due upon your complete satisfaction.
